Analog Signal.

I’ve been a terrible blogger, but I hope to remedy that with an obnoxious amount of posts in the coming weeks. I think the Texas heatwave has just about obliterated my creativity for now. Is it October yet?

This was my main donation for the Silent Auction last month. I also donated this oval wooden panel.

Thank you.

The Flood of Emotion Fundraiser was a success! I was really pleased to find out that both my pieces sold. I donated the above piece, as well as an oval wooden panel adorned in similar doodles. In total, the night raised over $10,000 to aid the victims of Japan’s recent natural disasters. I was really touched by all the positive feedback I received throughout the night, and I had the pleasure of meeting so many humble, but immensely talented people along the way. I was glad to be a part of it! I look forward to making an effort to get my work out there locally. It’s a bit daunting after being incognito so long, but it’s nice to shake things up a bit.

Thank you to all my friends who came out to support me. It meant a lot to me.

See more photos from the Fundraiser on my Facebook page.

  • Photographer Vitya Lyagushkin and diving journalist Bogdana Vashchenko give us a glimpse inside the hauntingly beautiful Ordinskaya Cave, the longest underwater cave in Russia.
  • I recently discovered Jen Gassiraro’s intricate, abstract paintings, with a feminine twist. If you’re in the Dallas area, I highly recommend seeing her work in person!
  • Justin Terveen of Urban Fabric put together a couple of very neat time lapse videos of Dallas. (one captures a day of what came to be known by locals as Snowpocalypse 2011)
  • If you’re one of my close friends, you know Brunch is by far my favorite meal. What’s not to love about fresh fruit, pastries, crisp bacon, the perfect Bloody Mary (extra spicy, please), and Eggs Benedict? I recently discovered The Dallas Observer’s Brunch Drunk Love column by Andrea Grimes.
